Patient Rooms
Apart from the best medical care, the basic principle for the accommodation at the Isar Hospital is comfort for our patients.
Besides the rooms, which are all equipped with a modern Entertainment System (TV, Radio, internet, various games) and Wireless LAN, all patients have access to 800m² of roof terrace, overlooking the city centre of Munich.
At the Isar Hospital, we offer single, double- and three- bed rooms. Accommodation in a three bed room is a standard service, this means costs are covered by the public health insurance.
Accommodation in a single or double bed room is an optional service, in combination with more service and comfort and for this reason due for extra payment. Please see Optional Services for further information.
Dining à la carte
We believe first class care has to include an upscale gastronomic standard. For this reason our patient may indulge in a special gastronomic choice.
The Isar Medical Centre is the first hospital in Munich offering a daily choice of meals that can be selected by the patient. And for breakfast and dinner patients may choose from a large menu.
Our choice of meals consists of approx. 40 dishes, various starters, main courses and deserts as well as daily fresh salad creations. We set great value on serving the best products to our patients, be it for Asian or Mediterranean specialities or for Bavarian delicacies.
Our cuisine varies to the seasons and the choice of meals is certainly suitable for vegetarians, vegans, diabetics, etc. And at the same time they conform to ethnic and religious requirements.
Follow-up Rehabilitation
Follow-up rehabilitation means the most possible comprehensive recovery of the health condition and performance within rehabilitative facilities, which are especially qualified for the rehabilitation therapy required (e.g. after knee or hip implantation).
The follow-up rehabilitation takes place immediately after your in-patient stay.
To guarantee a smooth process of the application procedure and the transfer to a rehabilitation clinic on the discharge day, you should inform us at admission, if your treating doctor has planned a follow-up rehabilitation for you.
It is as important to know the payer, if the patient is employed and if the patient is jobless as this usually involves social security insurance. Pensioners are covered by statutory health insurance and we need the social security number, stated on the social security card.
If possible we consider all wishes regarding rehabilitation clinic and location. However, we do have our limits here, as the payer has the last decision on this.
We want you to feel comfortable in the rehabilitation clinic and hope the therapeutic measures will lead to an optimal treatment outcome.
